Itinerary

Depart from your location in the morning and begin your journey towards Bwindi. Enjoy scenic views of Uganda’s rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and rural villages. Stop for lunch in Mbarara or another town along the way.

Continue the journey through the picturesque Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi National Park in the late afternoon or early evening. Settle in, enjoy dinner, and relax in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. Meet your guide and set off into the dense rainforest, following trails in search of a gorilla family. Trekking can take between 2 to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas.

Once you find the gorilla group, spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior—watching them feed, play, and interact. Capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience with your camera while maintaining a respectful distance.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you may opt for a guided community walk to learn about the local Batwa culture and customs.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before starting your journey back. Stop en route for lunch and photo opportunities at scenic viewpoints. Arrive back in Kampala or Entebbe by evening, bringing your incredible gorilla trekking adventure to a close.
