This tour is perfect for those looking to experience the best of Tanzania’s natural beauty in a short time.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kilimanajaro International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your accommodation near Lake Manyara National Park. The journey takes approximately 2 hours from Arusha. Once you arrive, check into your lodge and enjoy a delicious dinner.

In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a half-day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and abundant birdlife, including flamingos. The park offers great views of the escarpment and the lake, adding to the charm of your first safari day.

After breakfast, set off on a scenic drive towards Serengeti National Park (approx. 4-5 hours). Serengeti is one of the world’s most iconic wildlife destinations, famous for its expansive savannahs and incredible wildlife sightings, including the “Big Five” (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos) and the Great Migration (in the right season).

Arrive in the Serengeti and enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp. You’ll explore the vast plains and search for predators, herbivores, and an incredible variety of bird species. Serengeti is known for its vast, unspoiled wilderness, and the opportunity to witness the Great Migration (if you’re visiting between July and October) will be an unforgettable experience. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Today will be dedicated entirely to exploring the Serengeti. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive with a break for a packed lunch in the park. Serengeti offers a wealth of wildlife opportunities, from the massive herds of wildebeest and zebras to the elusive leopards and lions hiding in the grass. Depending on the time of year, you may also witness the dramatic river crossings of the Great Migration.

The day will be filled with thrilling wildlife encounters and the opportunity to explore different areas of the park, such as the Seronera Valley, Morukori Kopjes, or the Northeast Serengeti, all offering unique wildlife viewing experiences. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Crater (approx. 3-4 hours). The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world. Known as the “Garden of Eden,” the crater is home to a diverse range of species, including the endangered black rhino, lions, elephants, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebras.

Descend into the crater for a half-day game drive. The rich biodiversity of this unique ecosystem is a highlight, and you will be able to observe many animals in one place, making it one of the best places in Africa for wildlife viewing.

In the afternoon, ascend the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you may be transferred to Kilimanajaro International Airport for your departure or enjoy a brief tour around Arusha town before heading to the airport.
